Our group activities offer a unique “behind the scenes” glimpse of Rutland Water Nature Reserve and its wildlife and are a brilliant way for your group or organisation to enjoy a day out with a difference.
We offer a range of activities, from practical conservation tasks such as coppicing or meadow work to garden wildlife workshops, nest box building or a VIP experience with the Rutland Osprey Project. All of the activities are suitable for a range of ages and abilities. No previous skills or knowledge are required as our enthusiastic team of experienced staff and volunteers will be there guide you through the activity.
Your day can be tailored to your group’s interests and requirements and work well when combined with guided walks, talks or the hire of our facilities.
If your group can’t get to the reserve, activities such as nest box building can be undertaken at your venue if you have a suitable outdoor or indoor space available; don’t worry we’ll bring everything with us!
Each activity has a per head cost associated, and may be limited to certain times of the year.
