An early start for a chance to enjoy the sounds of the dawn chorus on a guided walk at Rutland Water Nature Reserve followed by breakfast at the Volunteer Training Centre.
Come and join the experts at the Anglian Water Birdwatching Centre, Rutland Water to enjoy the wonders of the dawn chorus, at its peak at this time of year!
The dawn chorus is triggered by a combination of longer days and the breeding season, culminating in this wonderful display of birdsong!
First to sing are birds like blackbirds and robins who will sing while it is still dark, but as the sun rises from 5am the chorus builds to its crescendo as the other birds join in.
We will take a walk on the reserve, to enjoy the chorus and see what’s about before walking to the Volunteer Training Centre to enjoy a well earned breakfast while looking out over the water.
Ticket price includes parking and entry to the nature reserve for the day and a continental breakfast.
