Sunday 29th April 2018 - 5:00 AM - 8:00 AM
Location: Lyndon Visitor Centre
Address: Lyndon Visitor Centre
Come and join the experts at the Lyndon Centre, Rutland Water to enjoy the wonders of the dawn chorus, at its peak at this time of year!
The dawn chorus is triggered by a combination of longer days and the breeding season, culminating in this wonderful display of birdsong!
First to sing are birds like blackbirds and robins who will sing while it is still dark, but as the sun rises from 5am the chorus builds to its crescendo as the other birds join in.
We will take a walk on the reserve, overlooking the water, to enjoy the chorus and see what’s about before returning to the centre to enjoy a well earned breakfast while looking out over the water.
Ticket price includes entry to the Lyndon Nature reserve for the day and breakfast.
Breakfast will consist of egg, bacon and mushrooms in a roll. Gluten free bread or vegetarian sausages are available on request, but must be ordered at booking. Please let us know of any special dietary requirements on booking.
Online bookings are not available for this event.
