For young people interested in wildlife and the environment.

Wildlife Watch is the junior branch of the Wildlife Trusts. You don't have to be an expert to get involved and we have a different activity each month! There are regular events and projects you can take part in.

Membership for one year costs £12, or £15 for up to 4 children at one address. Wildlife Watch is part of a registered charity - so we do hope you will join.

Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust also offers Watch membership as part of a whole family package for £32 per year.

Rutland Water Wildlife Watch Group usually meets here at the Anglian Water Bird watching Centre, Egleton, from 10.30 am - 12.30 pm on the second Sunday of each month.

Events are open to Watch members and non-members, but prioirty is given to Wildlife watch members. Booking is essential as there are limited places. To book a place please call 01572 770651.

On your first visit we will ask you to fill in a registration form and then you can attend any Watch events. Events are generally free, but on occasion we may ask for a small fee towards materials or activities. We will endeavour to inform parents/guardians before the event.

Wildlife Watch groups are suitable for children aged 6 - 12 years. It is Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Watch Policy that a parent/carer remains with children under the age of eight.

Parents are asked that children wear suitable clothing and protection for outdoor meetings e.g. strong shoes/wellies, waterproofs, hats, sunscreen.

AUGUST - No meeting - Birdfair

SEPTEMBER - No Meeting - Wildlife Watch Annual Event.
