VISITING THE RESERVE
Getting here
The reserve lies south east of Oakham, the county town of the ancient county of Rutland.
From the west, the reserve is reached via the A6003 from Uppingham or Oakham. Coming from the east use, the road from Stamford (A606/A1). Free parking.
Or why not come by train? - Oakham station (2 miles away) is served by an excellent east-west service linking Peterborough to Leicester and Birmingham.

Opening times
Egleton Reserve is open daily throughout the year from 9am to 5pm. (4pm November - February). Closed Christmas and Boxing Day.
Lyndon Reserve is open from 9am to 5pm every day, from Easter to the end of October. November to Easter it is open at weekends and Bank Holidays only. Closed Christmas and Boxing Day. Lyndon is signposted from Rutland Water South Shore, 1 mile east of Manton.

- Full day rate: Adults £4.00; senior citizens £3.00, children under 16/student union card holders £2.00, disabled people and carers £2.00, Wildlife Watch members £1.
- Group of 10 or more booked in advance £2.50.
- Afternoon permits (from November to February only):
£1 off normal prices. - Permit for four consecutive days £12.
- For regular visitors the Anglian Water Family Activity Pass is a very good buy: £50 per family for the year and only £25 per family if you are a member of the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust. (NB This pass does not give access to the Egleton reserve during the Birdfair weekend.)

Dogs (except guide dogs) are not permitted on the Egleton reserve under any circumstances. Dogs on leads are welcome at Lyndon
