Views from Lax Hill

By climbing to the top of Lax Hill, visitors are able to gain views in all directions across the reserve as the following series of pictures shows


Looking south-west across Manton Bay towards the village of Manton


Looking south-east towards the Lyndon Visitor Centre and Gibbet Gorse.


Looking due east along the south arm of the reservoir. Normanton church is in the distance.


Looking north-east towards the Hambleton peninsula. The Old Hall is on the far shore.


Looking due-north. Brown's Island and the Lagoons are in the foreground.
The white building on the skyline is Burley on the Hill.


Looking north-west. The Birdwatching Centre is visible on the banks of Lagoon 1.
Behind lies Egleton village and further off is Oakham, with Oakham church spire showing against the sky.
