Rutland Water Nature Reserve has just launched their Countryside Courses Winter Programme and to kick off they are running two hedgelaying courses on Saturday and Sunday January 28th and 29th and February 18th and 19th from 10am to 4pm
On each of the 2 day courses a brief introduction will be given about this ancient art, what it involves and when to hedge-lay and how.
The courses will be Martyn Aspinall who was the Senior Warden of Rutland Water Nature Reserve for 20 years and has been laying hedges and teaching hedge-laying for the last 15 years. Martyn will be ably assisted by Ray Sykes who has been laying hedges for more than 60years!
